Another Week.
work it harder make it better do it faster makes us stronger

The weekend was good. I went up to Capitola again - more visits with my family in the last two months than I think I had in an entire year down in SLO. This weekend the goal was simple: Watch Sideways with Mom and friends, and then drink Pinot Noir as an appropriate followup.
Watching Sideways was depressing, a little surreal (since it's set in the Central Coast's wine regions, and therefore relatively familiar), but very good. The Pinots... well, the Storrs had gone sour, the Fess Parker was sorta okay, and the bottle Mom and Vonnie had picked up after a martini was relatively nice and smooth, but twice as expensive as a bottle of something comparable in another grape. The consensus is to get it when it comes out on DVD and watch it while drinking "Fucking Merlot".
WoW on Sunday, still enjoying myself. Got Silk up to 32 as my last conscious act that night, quit because I didn't want to wait the half hour before I could recall out of my current location - went to Desolace without tagging the Theramore gryphon, so it's either walk or recall out.
This week at work is probably going to be spent making myself stop hating programming. I think I've convinced myself that I'm a bad programmer by spending too damn much time trying to get every program design 'Just Right' - wearing myself into a paste without ever writing a word. So I'm going to just toss off the scripts I need and see whether what comes out is snot or not.
Amazon's gotten my business a bit this month. I ordered Sneaker Pimps - Becoming X from them, since I never expect to find it anywhere else, and several of the songs wander through my head regularly, the Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead DVD (Woot!) which I only noticed existed while going back through Strides' LJ looking for that Warlock movie. Mmm, R&G on DVD without looking like it was ripped from tape or fed through a shredder...
