Glasses

For the first time in nearly 7 years, I'm wearing glasses again - Dean Edell readers from the drug store. Feels as weird as if I'd never worn them before, but the effect is palpable.
I'll have to consider getting a set of half-lensed versions instead of what I did get, since I got something with an overkill diopter: I can't see far away with these beasties on.

As for today: Pulled through. Didn't really get a chance to breath until lunch at 1:30, so it's still nice and busy. Remembering my object-oriented programming skills to good effect - taking code I agonized over for hours and removing 4/5ths of the lines in favor of object-method calls I should have written to begin with.

Programming is good. should spend more time at it.

update:Ow. overkill indeed. My area of focus appears to have been reduced to about 12 inches with those on. will exchange later. pfeh.

No choice bits of philosophy gleaned from game design, tonight... spent the evening coding a project from work that had me confounded. fun, but not exactly what I'd planned on doing. Tomorrow before I go into work: glasses that Do The Right Thing.
