Some days it just doesn't pay to get outta bed.

And some days, it feels like you didn't. Up late on friday, slept till 11, awake till 5:30 or so, then awake again at 11. My sleep schedule is so boned.

For whatever reason, it's in a computer geek's nature to obsess, just a little, about recursion, whether it's in the computer world or not. Tonight, a linguistic twinkery: Recursive censorship.

We heard our share from the "Focker" herself, too. She complained about the cover of a movie called "The Locals," which has a critique saying "This movie kicks ass!" We also got a new title complaint, about "What The Bleep Do We Know?"

Focker: What did I tell you about these titles?
Me: Bleep is not a swear word, ma'am. It's actually a word that is used to censor a swear word. (Isn't that what you like?)
Focker: But it acknowledges that swearing exists!

Sigh, there's no reasoning with her.

Sleep schedule still screwed. Spent all day feeling icky, and now I'm wired. No caffeine all weekend. wtf, yo.
