Ferrets don't like needles.

For the record, if you ever want to give someone a serious, lasting neurosis about needles, get them their allergy shots. Years and years afterwards, rationally I know needles don't hurt (didn't even feel the flu shot today), but my heart rate goes way up and I'm way nervous.

In other news, I got my flu shot today, and God willing, will not get the damn flu this year. Free EDS bennies, away!

I took a look at the sheet of 'who should get a flu shot'... turns out there's only one really good reason to get it: I won't get the damn flu from this building's evil central ventilation.
