Hm. Didn't post about this when I was going to...

So Mr. Rogers died this week. It's a tribute to my distracted, master-of-denial nature that it took three days for it to actually hit me. Saturday Mark and I were driving (okay, Mark was driving) along LOVR and I started humming 'It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood' idly for all of about a note, then stopped and hurt quietly for a moment, teared up.

Tribute to modern culture and my childhood. Can't cry in front of other people if it's important. 'Tis why I love movies that make me cry. It's at least some outlet.

He will be missed. Noone can replace him; certainly noone in the generation which worships Barney and Pokémon.

Atleast it's not just me.

The number of odd looks I've had out of Kurt et al for tearin up at movies cannot be easily counted. :P

Note that people like that make it hard for me to tear up at movies because my response is generally to get angry at them for having that attitude.

Counterproductive.

Did the same thing on Saturday, love. It was beautiful out in the country. Started humming the theme. Then I started feeling teary-eyed. What an impact that man had on so many lives...
