So as usual, I crashed classes. Turns out I didn't need to crash - that I could have registered before, now that they were offering me my aid. I never checked. Guess I just like the taste of classes which I caught myself.

I did get my aid stuff figured out finally. I'm happy about that. Should be getting money soon.

Got the Chem class which is the last beast I believe I need to take to graduate. I'm going to talk to the advisors about that since I haven't gotten a graduation eval back (big surprise, noone told me it took so long to process). I'm also taking Programming Languages II, a high-level CSC course. Other than that, I'm taking no units for credit and it's my intent to use the spare time to get my senior project turned in and to get my graduation figured out. I know I'm going to be here over the summer while trying to figure this out, but I'm not sure what happens after that if they say 'Yup, you're done!'.

I guess I pack up and go. I hate not knowing. My fault for not having it turned in years ago, but damn.

As far as objections to me taking a 400 level CSC course as 'filler', I know how I act, and if I don't have some decent stuff to take up my time, which _might_ actually have value, I'll probably ignore it, and I'd like to get out of here without plunging my grade too far.

Besides, at 8 units total load, I'm not exactly struggling under the weight. Just wish me luck on the Chem class I've burned out on twice before.

Well, Phillips is a completely different teacher than I remember him, attitude-wise. He's quite enthusiastic, and his explanations are pretty clear. Of course, I've covered fragments of what he's going to teach in quarters past, so it may just be that I'm well grounded to accept what he has to teach.

I just hope that my prof for Chem is as eager to push stuff through to us. I know he won't be, because he's teaching a first year class and Phillips is teaching a fourth year class for the first time in four years, but hey. The Lab guy reminds me of John Burdette, a coworker of mine who's been doing mainframe stuff for 20 years. I wouldn't be surprised if the two were related.
So yeah. Good first lecture.
