So apparently my coworker is going to trade up on his fish tank - his Big Damn Fish are starting to outgrow his teeny 20 gallon tank. *sigh* So he's trying to get rid of it.
Of course, I got to thinking - gee, I haven't had any pets in my house for a longass time, and fish are fun in a low-maintenance way. Plus, my lease allows them.
So I may be getting fishies. Should be fun to start a new tank - been a loong time since I maintained a tank.
Point of fact, I just maintained the thing; I've never started one fresh alone - Mom did most of the hard startup work.. Should be amusing to see if I can remember how to, or at least use my Mad Being An Adult Skillz to figure it out.
fishfish.
edit: Duh. Looked at aquarium supply shops nearby and was reminded promptly that there's a petSmart right in the Edgewater Plaza. Aheh. Should make it easy to get day-to-day supplies, which is good. I'll have to looksee at the fish to see whether they're a good petSmart or an evil petSmart. Probably good.
