Woke late this morning (Saturday morning, that is). Prepaid Mark with lunch for the trial of going with me to a few stores here and there to gather tools for more house-cleaning. Spring's the planting season for farmers, thus, spring cleaning. Fall's the beginning of a new year for students, thus, such cleaning occurs at the end of the Summer season. Logic at work here.
Bought another set of shelves to go in my room, several of those cool stackable drawers for the games which have been 'gracing' the living room for over two years now, and a selection of those little foldable tables which are very slick and make perfect phone stands and bedside tables. The goal of all this? Get Rid Of The Damn Cardboard Furniture. I suppose the second halogen lamp I set up in the living room may also have contributed to the sense of livability which permeated the house after I started cleaning things out.
Also picked up Equilibrium, Minority Report, and, after cleaning out my room for a couple hours, a raging headache from the unsettled dust. Sudafed and videogames for a few hours, then Minority Report. Afterwards, I tore the desk down. It's hiding in my room now, out of the way, and I have more space than I've had in a while. I'm rearranging things a little - the desk is more than a little irrelevant, and having seen what happened quickly after I stopped using it - it got covered in weird leftover crap which didn't belong anywhere - I decided one less large empty surface is good.
Tomorrow, vacuuming, some more sweeping, NWN with Mike and maybe Will.
