Writer's Block
Nov. 17th, 2003 03:08 amWriters block sucks. We all know it. It's worse when you're trying to be creative constantly for what amounts to a variety of different weekly improv meetings.
Finally broke through one block, now I just need to break through the ones on the games that I'm actually running. Shit, the one I broke the block on isn't even going to start for months (Gyr lives again, in a DnD game, oh my god will he be a blast to play, if I can pull it off...)
I figured out one of the reasons I've been running dry on ideas. I've been so busy, and so distracted, I haven't been _reading_ as much as I want to. This means no flow of ideas past the forebrain, no constant analysis, extrapolation, and creation, and I'm drying up like a terminal sunbather.
So, I've prescribed <voice name="Johnny Five"> INPUT! </voice>. We'll see if I can manage to squeeze some in in my next couple weeks.
