According to the jargon file 'ping' is the computer's quantum particle of happiness, and 'blargh' is the computer's quantum particle of unhappiness. This week, my ping-to-blargh ratio has been fairly low.
Today's blargh is simple, and also emits pings. My monday game, which I was trying to finish one last story arc for, is dead. No less than two players are not going to be there Monday, so I'm just going to treat it like a horse with two broken legs. 'night night, horsie. I'll meet people on monday who give a shit what was actually going on, wrap-up, and move on with life. The upside is that I'll be able to move on to my next project a week early, and since I was informed of the second players absence sufficiently early, I didn't actually waste much time on building the Bastion, so I have my weekend to myself.
So, I'm going to watch Highlander, read Godël, Escher, Bach, and play Sonic Heroes, and perhaps continue writing my next game as I go.
