The office is nearly empty, probably will be all week, and I'm having trouble finding things to do that aren't huge programming projects I'll never have a chance to finish.

I also didn't bring any movies with me today.

Hmmm.

Work today was only partially occupying my time, so I spent some time to come up with a playlist for a couple of mixed CDs I will probably call I Love Music, after the track which inspired this menagerie.

All of these are among my favorites in one genre or another, and tying them together may prove truly impossible, like making tangrams while missing a piece, but I'd like to try.

The track which tripped this whole deal, track 6 in that list, starts with a little downtempo rhythm, with a monologue woven through it, thusly:

"Music... music...
Ever since I can remember, I've always loved music.
Y'know I didn't know anything about these titles, until I started dealing with people like you...
They'd start giving it names, rock and roll, rhythm and blues, jazz...
There's only two types of music:
Good and Bad."
