Valuable things I learn at work.
Jan. 7th, 2005 10:22 amSo we have, as every workplace does, the old geek who knows many things, and likes to hold forth on them. This morning, as he was unwrapping a sugar free candy:
Him: "Have you ever noticed in life that skinny people don't eat sugar free candies? You could draw a logical inference from that."
Me: "It'd be patently insane, but logical, yes."
Him: "It'd be on the order of sitting in the first three rows of a burlesque show causes bald-headedness."
And then he walks away without another word, leaving me blinking and wondering whether government work causes hallucinations, insanity, or both.
