Only Forward
Apr. 29th, 2006 04:54 pmLast weekend, when we were in LA, we went to Becky's uncle David's house. While there, he plied us with books. one of the ones I found in his vasty library was 'Only Forward', by Michael Marshall Smith.
It's a brilliant book set in the far future. I'd put it a couple steps above Snow Crash in plot quality, and well above that in narrative style, world quality, and pure visuals. It's a damn fine book.
One warning. It won an August Derleth award.
