Infuriating people
Jul. 26th, 2007 05:21 pm"Any asshole can go through life without pissing anybody off" is a phrase burned into my mind. Paraphrased from Heinlein, I believe.
This evening, I pissed someone off - I didn't bow to their demands, I was polite but firm, and I dealt with them within the parameters we could. The end result, after I left, was apparently them bursting into tears and claiming I was an incredibly rude person.
Now... I don't know what exactly they were basing this on, but I'm very irritated by the accusation. I was damn careful, and she made a number of baseless accusations during the day that I let pass.
I know it'll come to nothing, but what the fuck, lady? You're fifty years old and when we say you're not supposed to be back here, it's as much for your health as everything else. Go to the helpdesk and stay away from us, and certainly don't get irritated at us when we don't do everything you want immediately.
Grrrrr.
