Standards are great - there are so many to choose from!
Just an interesting tidbit, to me at least - the DVD+R drive I got is not the leading medium. It's more expensive for the media, roughly double. The major benefits are that it's intended to be particularly compatible with DVD drives, and the standard for the writer somehow all but eliminates that damnable buffer-underrun problem. I've tested it, played MP3s while surfing the net and burning something, and it's pretty stubborn...
Still haven't gotten it to record perfectly, yet. I'm working on it, and things are coming together. I'll know in the morning if it works.
This week is going to be _weird_... short weeks always are.
