Faith is belief without proof

I asked myself why I enjoy refuting proofs of the existence of God this morning. I came up with this: I believe in God. I have faith. Faith is belief without proof, proof denies faith, faith is such a large thing that a proof of his existence would have to be similarly large to encompass the entirety of God. Basically, it's generally like shooting ducks in a barrel. So far, there's always some silly assumption which I'm not willing to make.

In any case, I slept an hour last night on general principle. I've been sleeping too much recently and not being able to get to sleep on time or get up early, so I gave my system a shock, sort of like shaking a naughty puppy. Hopefully I'll get better. May be time for valerian if I can't beat things into shape.
In the meantime, I finished out reading The Argonautica, a much better beast than the Iliad, but not as good as the Odyssey, and had the benefit of Wolf and Coon's presence for the evening. I'm hoping I don't get a series of bleary, dirty looks from Jynx and Candace when I get home; I think we were fairly quiet, except for when Will was reduced to hopeless, helpless laughter after listening to someone's dance-electronica mix of their roomate playing Counterstrike, followed immediately by Rejected ('Mah spoon is too big.'). Also showed the Animatrix piece. I'm sooo looking forward to all of the Matrix stuff that's upcoming.
Spent some time trying to come up with an idea for a short game to run for my Tuesday night group - we're between games, so I want to contribute to the buffer of Candace-sanity causing goodness before we go into something new. Hell, we don't even have a clue what we're going to do once we run out of once-offs.
Back to work, anyway. Thursday already. I feel dirty. How does time move like this?
