Daredevil was a ball because it was different from the usual, and the guys writing it had a _lot_ of fun.

First, it wasn't just fight scene after fight scene. Big plus.

Kingpin was a big guy and a sharp fighter. Good actor, too. Michael Clarke Duncan is a _big_ man. He also has a lot of character. I'd like to see him get more parts.

Seeing Bullseye lose control after he missed was priceless. Truly great. Made the character.

The film had comic references coming out the _ass_. Seriously. I cracked up after the following line:

"Miller, Mack, Bendis? They're my guys, they do what I say."

Didn't recognize Mack, but Frank Miller and Brian Bendis are Marvel writers. The rapist (no, not therapist) that Murdock was prosecuting was a slime by the name of Quesada. Joe Quesada's another Marvel monkey.

Stan Lee apparently had a cameo.

Electra had one scene where every straight male spent a lot of time looking at her nice pendant. Stupid shiny thing. Other than that, she did a great job being an actress instead of a selling point.

Ben Urich, the reporter, is Joe Pantoliano - Cypher from The Matrix. Does a good job. Glad he's keeping a presence.

I _like_ Colin Farrell. He makes a good Bullseye. Apparently he's playing Alexander in _yet another_ Alexander the Great flick. (Baz Luhrmann's doing one too) He also apparently had the misfortune of playing a character named 'Spanky McSpank'. I wouldn't let that on my resume for blood or money.

Oh. Kevin Smith of Silent Bob fame played a lab assistant briefly, by the name of Jack Kirby. Yeah, thought that would get some laughs from the Marvel fans.

Now you may wonder why I ran down this list of whatnot. It's because I want you to go see this movie if you like action flicks. It's got a lot of style, and dammit, I want to see a sequel. This movie _really_ wants a sequel.

Oh, and don't leave when the credits come on, neither.

Since I haven't been able to sleep on any schedule, I've taken to using music to guide me in that direction. It works, and has done so in the past, but even when I want to be put to sleep I need new stuff occasionally.

So I've gone to emusic.com and started grabbing stuff. I also picked up a little Aphex Twin. So I've got a lot of ambient, mostly calming music in my collection waiting to put me to sleep.

Hm, I hear it calling now.

Night.
