Enforced long weekend ahead for me - I get to work from home on monday because they won't be done with the asbestos abatement till the end of the day. Had to leave early today, too, since we had to have everything under the desks by the end of the day, and apparently Alice and Daniel both decided not to bother coming in today at all.
Was going to have the weekend entirely off except I decided that I'd run a game for the minicon. Going to run Killer Bunnies, so it's not much of an effort.
Spent some significant portion of the week's work efforts trying to find something to do, one of those awful idle weeks where you're trying to justify continuing to sit in your chair. Ended up learning some stuff about the GUI toolkit in Mac OS, like it takes 0, read NO lines of hand written code to write a drag-and-drop image viewer. The GUI is pretty kick ass, and the tools whch come with the OS are just insane. I hope this OS catches on a bit more than it has so far.
iPod still lagged. freakin a. Still quite happy with the Mac. wOOt.
going to try to go out this weekend and have jynx put me through driver's hell. see what happens with that. Have had opportunities to do freeway driving, which I'd like, but I think before I do that I feel the need to do the hard bits a bit, you know, things that are a part of city driving, like signalling, stopping and accelerating, and parking. igh, parking.
Probably going to spend the evening watching movies and trying to code the interface for an Objective-C/Cocoa version of Brawl which is my current intended project. If it ever gets anywhere at all, I'll let you know; it'll probably die after I've determined how Cocoa works well enough to do something serious.
Been having really _weird_ dreams all week. I may start trying to write them down, but don't worry, they'll never hit anything but my private entries. Reminds me too much of Kermit wandering downstairs in the morning and trying to explain the dreams he had overnight to me.
On that note, I want to watch Alien and Aliens, dammit.
