damn. Apple's always coming up with something sparkly, tugging at my soul (and, more particklerly, my pocketbook, considering my current wireless hub is giving me intermittent crap)

Reagan

When Ronald Reagan was President, he was nothing more than a caricature, to me - something I saw in Doonesbury comics, which I didn't get, and music videos, which I also didn't get. His sense of humor amuses me to this day, particularly a certain open-mic oops immediately preceding a press-conference, in which he accidentally 'announced' the beginning of WW3. Very Californian fellow.

Whatever policies and politics he enacted or practiced, he was nevertheless a man of character and contributed his life to our nation. Alzheimers is a terrible, terrible way for a man to die. I hope he has found peace, now.

The governor has declared this friday to be a day of remembrance, which means that nonessential state staff take the day off, and perhaps sometime take a moment to consider Reagan's passing.
