I've started hacking at Grandpa's reports again, after a hiatus of probably nine months; After adding 1998 and 1999 to my list of converted pages, on 8.5x11" paper, I'm up to 293 pages, without further embellishment...

It's not going to fit in one book; I'm going to have to contemplate some different options as to how to print them.

In the meantime, since I'm now using a version of the InDesign program that doesn't suck, I might actually finish importing the rest of them by the end of summer (if I don't get distracted again). Next, then, is an editorial run; I'll do a first pass; I plan to clean up typoes - things that are just missing letters and whatnot; I'm loathe to correct too much. I'll also have to come up with formatting for lists, block quotes (poems, et alia), web links, and so on, on this next run.

Third pass will be taking this and adding the multimedia bit - gathering photographs and other family stuff that was either attached to various emails, or just deserves to be in these volumes.

Last pass is going to be the painful one - I'll have to have someone with a competence in publishing look things over and make it look right.

Maybe this'll get published, someday. Meanwhile, I'll post up the results of the import shortly.

Yay! I get to actually read them all soon :-)
