Working on Jumpstarting (that is, automatically installing the OS over the network) a Sun Fire 6800. The colloquial phrase for this kind of server is Big Iron. I've never worked with Big Iron before, really. It took me about 20 minutes to figure out how to power the thing on from a cold state. It has six independently configurable boards each with four CPUs on it and some unholy amount of RAM. It could be configured to run those as one server, or up to six independent servers. It's huge - one full cabinet to itself.
I'm droolin. Big toys. Really big, really expensive toys. I'm still a kid at heart. I love watchin' the blinky lights.
