Quiet weekend. I enjoy those. I finally got my RAM for my laptop and installed it Friday evening. The result was pretty impressive - my World of Warcraft stopped bogging like crazy. Funny what not having to swap to disk allatime will do.

So I ended up playing WoW all weekend. Not the most productive use of time. I did get the house cleaned up and laundry done, but really, all WoW. Which was fine, really - I played with Wolf and generally enjoyed myself.

All last week was spent debugging an attempt to install Solaris over the network (Jumpstart) to a Sun Fire 6800. Wow, that sucked. I spent most of the week on the line to Sun trying to get them to point me in the right direction, since apparently my problem-solving skills fell out of my ear sometime a while ago. It turned out to be a _driver_ issue with the network card we were using. I'll be paying attention to drivers on network boot systems more often now :p

The 6800 is a very pretty system, though, and I'm spiffed to be able to play with it. The whole idea of the system is that it's heavily hot-pluggable and redundant, as well as being able to behave as if it were up to four separate computers. I think I'm going to try to do a write up of its capabilities that's understandable by the layman for my own amusement, see if I can make it interesting.

I'm so going to end up a teacher in my old age. *sigh* which means I'll have to go back to school sometime. Don' wanna. Maybe I'll be willing after I get out of debt.
