Generally, I'm not the biggest fan of the big blue schoolboy's comics... or movies. I likes Dean Cain's Superman more than I've liked most of the rest - being a total yutz until you put on your pajamas (which is how I see too many people write the big S) doesn't make for a very intriguing character.
Actually, it makes for a really weird, neurotic feeling one.
Anycase, sidetracked. Watched Superman Returns tonight, with Becky. She and I agree, it was good. The opening sequence was sorta lame and, for her, vaguely nauseating, but beyond that, the whole production was pretty damn glossy. Thematically, it was very well executed, very neatly tied together, and while it wasn't quite as spectacular as the comics' Supes has become, it was a very good continuation of the movie continuity.
I recommend it.
