Session 2!
Feb. 8th, 2008 10:32 pmSession 2 went well - it got eaten by combat, mostly, though the opening: "You all wake up, alone, in your own beds, still dressed. You don't remember anything after meeting Injun Joe." - that was fun.
Combat taught me a few things: Game balance is pretty good, though the Epic Dex ability 'Monkey in the Middle' is a teensy bit broken - It takes several of the most useful tools for wearing people down out of my repertoire. So I need to research how to deal with that without introducing implausible combat situations like 'The really nasty beefy guy goes after the Japanese midget, ignoring the scary looking Norse people.'
Also handled explaining the difference between "Benefit of the Doubt", which allows you to tell the truth and have it believed, no matter how implausible, and "God's Honest", which allows you to tell anything and have it believed as the truth, no matter how implausible. Big difference. Funny results. "That building we burned down? It was a zombie attack. We had to burn it down in self defense." ... except in a bad Japanese accent.
We're adding a sixth. I failed my will save and accepted brand new guy Todd to play violin in our metal band. Not sure how I'm adding him yet. We'll see.
