Brgl. Woke up the morning feeling like a zombie. Not left for work yet, means my parking space will suck.
However, wanted to toss something pretty out there. Penny Arcade mentioned last night someone trying to advertise through them. Whenever they mention something in the blog, I'm willing to check it out. Pretty things like Odin Sphere were special call-outs, and they tend to be awesome.
This one is Sins of a Solar Empire - the site describes it as a meld of RTS and 4X - with the emphasis being on strategy rather than how fast you can clicky clicky.
I'm not an RTS fan, but I am a 4x fan, so I'm deeply curious. Sounds like the AI's relatively smart - someone angrily described it as 'broken' that when they warped out to deal with an AI fleet just outside their system, the AI promptly warped past them, and then withdrew again when the player warped back. The player was irritated; I just call that good blockade technique.
Going to work now. Wish me luck.
