Scion: GOD

So I picked up Scion: God. Hully crap, but it does the right thing. The top rank of every Epic Attribute and godly Purview is an ability that says 'You may narrate such and so type of effect'.

I'm realizing there're already a bunch of those at a smaller scale even now at the Hero level. I'm going to have to spend a little while familiarizing myself more fully so that I can write my scenes and sequences with them in mind.

In the meantime, I found that there's a type of metal called "Epic Doom Metal". Appropriately enough, the seminal piece in the genre is entitled "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus". Real creative, those guys.

Went shopping for Sam - to acquire him a belated bday present to take with me tomorrow.

Went to Best Buy, thinking "Video games are easy!" except I haven't been keeping up on my game reviews. Spotted "Soul Calibur Legends", which looked like Soul Calibur as done by Koei. Thought 'I like Soul Calibur. I like KOEI. What could go wrong? And better yet, it's violent enough to have the cool factor, without being razzafrazzing GTA, which I won't buy for him. Everybody wins!'

So I got home, fished it out and looked it up on Gamespot, and it came up '3.5: Bad'. Huh. Boring and tedious, it says.

Right. So tomorrow I get to go back and shop for a game that doesn't suck ass. No More Heroes would be awesome, if he were about three years older. If I get stuck, I'll get him a preorder for Smash Brother Brawl or something. That's idiot proof.
