Shadows In The Asylum
Sep. 1st, 2006 10:33 pmWhoof. Just finished reading 'Shadows in the Asylum' by D.A. Stern. It was a quick read - just spent the evening on it. The format was really the fun part; instead of a standard narrative, it was as if someone had taken the files of the main character and scanned them, allowing the notebooks, session transcripts, and articles the character had in his office to tell his story for him.
Yes, it was somewhat Lovecraftian. Yes, it involves insanity and unexplainable events. Yes, I'd recommend it if you like horror.
