Smoking is bad for you, Mkay.

Owned my new laptop just over a day before smoking the factory-installed Windows instance. It was probably recoverable somehow, but the circumstances left me with just enough distrust to make reinstalling from scratch the easiest fix.

Basically, computer gurgled and crashed randomly in the middle of installing updates, leaving some of my drivers hosed. Not sure what files or which, but compy proceeded to fail to be usable when not in safe mode.

Feh. Now I have to reinstall Pirates.

Still a pretty computer, just reminded me that Windows is not my strong point.
